CUP OF 2012 SEASON
December 4, 2010 - Canada’s Track Cycling team is continuing
to show signs of improvements as it concluded the second of
four events on the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Cali,
Colombia, winning two silver medals in the Omnium with defending
World Cup Champions Zach Bell and Tara Whitten riding in fine
form as they opened their World Cup season. |

Carding
List Nominations
Following a November 29th CCA High Performance Committee conference,
call the CCA would like to announce the names of the athletes
having met carding criteria and who will be nominated to Sport
Canada for 2012 Athletes Assistance Program (AAP) funding.
Following the review meeting in front of Sport Canada personnel
on December 7th the CCA will be officially notified in early
January 2012 of athletes confirmed by Sport Canada for 2012
cycle AAP funding. Please note that when the CCA posted the
nominated carded athlete list on November 30th a BMX SR nominated
athlete was omitted. The newly posted nomination list would
reflect the name of the added athlete. Thank you for your
understanding.

has been advised by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport

Road Race Championships, held on August 28, 2011, Miguel Agreda
has been sanctioned for the use of the banned substance EPO.

IMMUNITY-FX CANADIAN ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD IN LAC-MÉGANTIC,
QUÉBEC
(November 25, 2011 – Ottawa, ON - The 2012 IMMUNITY-FX
Canadian Road Championships will be back in Lac-Mégantic,
located in the Eastern Townships in the province of Quebec,
after a 20 year absence, announced the Canadian Cycling Association
(CCA) after successful negotiations with the Tour de Beauce
and the city of Lac-Mégantic.
