Day Three Results from the UCI BMX World Champs
Pietermaritzburg, RSA – It was a case of call back the past when
Latvian Maris Strombergs and Briton Shanaze Reade reclaimed the UCI BMX
World Championship men’s and women’s titles respectively in
Pietermaritzburg on Saturday – but the real hero for the partisan
South African crowd was men’s runner up Sifiso Nhlapo.

Pendrel wins silver medal, takes back overall world cup lead
July 31, 2010 - Canadian Mountain biker Catharine Pendrel (Kamloops, BC/
Team Luna) bounced back from a disappointing World Cup race last weekend
to win the silver medal at the 2010 UCI World Cup event in Val Di Sol,
Italie today. In doing so, Pendrel is taking back her lead position in
the World Cup standings.

Men's Camp Concludes in Burnaby
July 30, 2010 - The National Team Pool of male endurance riders spent
the better part of July in Burnaby to benefit from training with a strong
group of riders. A total of 12 athletes from across Canada took part and
reaped the benefits of training together under the watchful eye of coach
Jeremy Storie (Fort Langley, BC).

BMX: Canadian Tory Nyhaug Injured at the 2010 BMX World Championships
July 30, 2010 - Canadian BMX rider Tory Nyhaug (Coquitlam, BC), a four-time
World Champion and best chance for a medal for Canada at the 2010 UCI

Prémont Top Canadians at UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Champéry,
Switzerland
July 25, 2010 - The Canadian Mountain Bike team took to the slopes of
Champéry, Switzerland today to battle in the fourth UCI World Cup
race of the 2010 season. Canada’s Geoff Kabush and Marie-Hélène
Prémont posted Canada’s best results in the Elite category,
and Emily Batty posted the third fastest time in the Women’s U23
race.
