07.17.07 - 2007 Canadian Team for Junior Road and Track World Championships

The Canadian Cycling Association is pleased to announce the composition of the Canadian team for the junior road and track world championships, to be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico, from August 4th to 12th.

Selections were based on performances at the national championships in the road and track events.

The following athletes have been selected for the men’s road race:
Stéphane Cossette - QC
Matt Potma - BC
Guillaume Boivin - QC
Spencer Smitheman - AB

The two time trial athletes will be nominated from among Potma, Boivin and Smitheman by the coach closer to the date of competition.

Two athletes have been nominated as reserves: Simon Lambert-Lemay (QC) and Cody Campbell (BC).

The following athletes have been selected for the women’s road race and time trial:
Danielle Kenney - AB
Denise Ramsden – ON (pending recovery from a broken wrist)

The following athletes have been selected for the track competitions:
Stéphane Cossette – QC (men’s sprint events)
Matt Potma – BC (men’s endurance events)
Monique Sullivan – AB (women’s sprint events)

The team will be supported by the following staff:
