03.25.08 - National Team Selections for 2008 UCI Track World Championships

The Canadian Cycling Association is pleased to announce the team that will represent Canada at the 2008 UCI Track World Championships that commence tomorrow, March 26 in Manchester, Great Britain. The event concludes on Sunday, March 30, 2008.

Zach Bell - Watson Lake, YK - Points Race, Scratch Race
Martin Gilbert Chateauguay, QC - Madison
Gina Grain Vancouver, BC - Points Race, Scratch Race
Ryan McKenzie Calgary, AB - Madison
Travis Smith Calgary, AB - Sprint
Tara Whitten Edmonton, AB - Individual Pursuit

Canada will also enter one rider in the Omnium event which will take place on Sunday.

Eric Van den Eynde has been contracted to fill the role of Head Coach.
