06.02.10 -Selection for Road
Para-cycling World Cup, Sevilla, Spain from June 11-13
The Canadian Cycling Association is pleased to announce
the athletes who will participate at the first Road
Para-cycling World Cup taking place in Sevilla, SPAIN
from June 11-13. The 21 member’s Canadian delegation
is comprised of 15 current National Team athletes, 3
athletes having met their national team selection criteria
for the first time and 3 support staff.
“As the host country of the 2010’ Road Para-cycling
World Championships, we have to send a big delegation
at the only World Cup on the calendar. In addition of
providing the athletes with an opportunity to meet their
opponents before World’s, we are looking at gaining
a maximum of UCI points as a Nation towards the London
qualification process.” to comment Para-cycling
National Coach, Eric Van den Eynde.
The team will be led by Van den Eynde, assisted by physiotherapist
from Moncton, Philippe Maheu and Ottawa mechanic, Alexander
Fulton.
