06.03.10 -Canadian Cycling Association Announces team for 2010 BMX World Cycling Championships

The Canadian Cycling Association announced today a seven-member team for the 2010 BMX World Championships July 28th – Aug 1st, 2010 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa

Elite Women
Sam Cools, Airdrie AB

Junior Men
Tory Nyhaug, Coquitlam BC
Steven Creighton, BC
Nick Benetti BC
Connor McCormack, Kelowna BC

Junior Women
Sabrina Millman, AB

The Team will begin their build up to worlds with a Camp in Abbotsford BC from the 15th to 18th of July. The team will then travel to Europe for training on an SX start hill before traveling down to Pietermaritzburg, South Africa for the Championships.

The funding from the CCA will allow elite and junior athletes to be partially funded.
