08.31.10 - Canadian Cycling Association Announces BMX team for Chula Vista SX World cup

The Canadian Cycling Association announced the athletes for the 3rd BMX SX World Cup in Chula Vista, CA. The event will be held at the US Olympic training center in Chula Vista, CA on September 17th & 18th. This will be the 3rd event counting towards the 2012 Olympic qualification process. The team will be partially for the project. Athletes were selected from proven results and potential ability to be competitive at BMX SX events.

Tier 2:
Jim Brown, Airdrie AB
Connor McCormack, Kelowna BC

Tier 1 athletes Sam Cools and Tory Nyhaug will not be in attendance for the event. Sam is actively working on her recovery from injuries sustained over the winter. Tory is recovering from his injury at BMX World Championship in July. Both athletes look to make their return to SX racing in Frejus in October.
