September 3, 2006 – Sun Peaks, BC - The cross-country race took place on an extremely hard 5-K track today. Athletes from 21 countries took part in the 30 years old and over Men and Women competition, with several Canadians finishing on the podium:

YEW Ann World Champion and SMITH Margie third, Women 30-39 category ;

ROBICHAUD Linda, World Champion, Women 40 +;

SUTTON Andre 2nd and HUNTER Michael 3rd, Men 35-39 category;

LALANCETTE Christian 3rd, Men 45-49 category

ANDERSON Robert World Champion and ROUTLEY Tony 2nd, Men 50-54 category

PARKER Ian 3rd, Men 55-59 category
