RECOGNIZED ORGANIZATION DEFINITIONS


Affiliated cycling club reconginition :

To be recognized as an affiliated club, the club must be affiliated to his provincial cycling association according to the rules and policies established by the provincial cycling association. The clubs affiliated to their provincial cycling association have access to different services, support and programs like a low cost insurance program.

National cycling centre recongintion:

The CCA has put into place 7 National Cycling Centres. Located in Victoria BC, Calgary AB, Hamilton ON, Hardwood Hills ON, Bromont QC, St. Augustin QC et Dieppe NB, the primary role of the National Cycling Centre is to recruit and initiate new cyclists, and to detect cycling talent. This involves running large-scale programs to bring the greatest possible number of youths in contact with the type of cycling activities that will hold their interest and giving them positive experiences through supervised cycling activities.

Provincial and/or territorial cycling organzation reconginition :

To be recognized as a provincial and/or territorial cycling organization, the organization must be a partner with the Canadian Cycling Association.

Provincial and/or territorial sport organzation recognition :

To be recognized as a provincial and/or territorial sport organization, the organization must be a partner with the national sport governing body.

School / school group / university / college recognition:

To be recognized school / school group / university / college, the program has to be addressed to a group of student of the same school and to be delivered in the framework of the school activities program.

Bike shop recognition (membre de BTAC) :

To be recognized as a BTAC bike shop, the bike shop must be member/affiliated to BTAC accordingly to the rules and policies establish by BTAC. The program has to be delivered in the framework of community activities offered by the shop.

Recreation club and/or centre:

To be recognized recreation club and/or centre, the club and/ or centre as to be recognized as it is accordingly to the rules and policies establish by the governing organism. The program must be delivered and offered as an activity offered by the recreation club and/or centre.

Municipality recognition:

To be recognized as a municipality, the program has to be addressed exclusively children originating of the same municipality and delivered in the activities program offered by the municipality.

Children institution/ group recognition:

To be recognized as a children institution/group, the program has to be addressed exclusively to children part of the specific institution/group and delivered in the activities program offered by the institution/group. (Boys and girls Clubs, Scouts, etc.).
